Reason for Policy 

This policy describes how Õ¥Ö­¼§ protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the data under its custodianship.

Policy Statement

Information Technology Services (ITS) shall create and maintain data protection standards that shall be used to protect Õ¥Ö­¼§ data. These standards shall protect Õ¥Ö­¼§ data based on categorization of the data and shall serve to ensure that risk to University data is managed and that protections afford to University data conform to all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Õ¥Ö­¼§ units with the help of ITS shall protect the institutional data under their custodianship in accordance with the Õ¥Ö­¼§ Data Protection Standards.

Scope

This policy applies to all Õ¥Ö­¼§ data and all Õ¥Ö­¼§ faculty, staff, and students.
